'Blair Witch' star to host talk, book signing | People
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
ATLANTA -- After starring in the hit 1999 indie film The Blair Witch Project, Heather Donahue became a household name.
However, when the afterglow faded and her acting career began to slow down, Donahue's life went to pot -- literally.
In her memoir Growgirl: How My Life After 'The Blair Witch Project' Went to Pot, Donahue chronicles her decision, at age 34, to start growing pot with her new boyfriend. She provides a rare glimpse into the lives of pot growers and their "pot wives," and describes how it unexpectedly brought her peace and a feeling of normalcy.
Donahue will give a talk and sign copies of Growgirl at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 at the Highland Inn Ballroom. Her appearance is sponsored by A Cappella Books.
The Highland Inn Ballroom is located at 644 North Highland Avenue in Atlanta's Poncey-Highland neighborhood. For more information, visit www.thehighlandinn.com.
