For one day only, DealChicken members can save 55 percent on two hours of housing cleaning from Buckhead-based Laughing Rainbow Cleaning Services. That's $49 for a scrub down with environmentally-friendly cleaning products, valued at $110.

Laughing Rainbow sets itself apart by sending the same cleaners to clients' houses for every appointment. Why the name? The company owner named it for her two daughters -- Ayeola (which means "rainbow") and Sekaya (meaning "laughter").

This deal expires on June 29, 2012 and is good for customers who live inside the perimeter; those outside the service area must pay a fee ranging from $15 to $30.

ELLENWOOD, Ga. -- Getting carpets cleaned before the holidays is a necessary hassle for many people, but today's DealChicken Atlanta deal will make this chore much easier -- and cheaper.

For Thursday only, DealChicken members can take advantage of $200 worth of carpet cleaning from Global Floor Services for only $100. Atlanta Housing Authority CEO to step down

ATLANTA -- Renee Lewis Glover, CEO of the Atlanta Housing Authority, will leave the organization after 17 years at the helm.

According to a statement from the AHA, "the new board members appointed by Mayor Kasim Reed have made it clear that they would like to have change in leadership at the AHA, which is fully within the prerogative of the mayor and the board."

Glover and members of the board have been working "cooperatively' to come up with "mutually acceptable terms of separation and an orderly transition," the statement said.

Since Reed became Atlanta's mayor in January 2010, he began appointing board members who regularly challenged Glover's leadership and her policies in running the organization.

Before Reed was elected in November 2009, the AHA board had signed a five-year contract with Glover.
