15th Annual Cheer for Children Ball Will be Held November 5 at Atlanta History Center

GEORGIA CENTER FOR CHILD ADVOCACY’S CHEER FOR CHILDREN BALL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5 

 Sylvia Reed, Mother of Mayor Reed, and Judith Starkey are Honorary Chairs for 15th Annual Fundraiser Featuring Food from the Greater Atlanta Chefs Association, Entertainment by Yacht Rock Revue, Décor by Kimberley Cary Event Design and a Luxury Silent Auction Emceed by Dave FM’s Mara Davis  

The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy today announced the date for its annual fundraiser, the Cheer for Children Ball.  The 15th annual fundraiser will be held Friday, November 5, from 7- 11 p.m.

Atlanta Fire Stations 16 and 19 Host the 6th Annual FireED Up! Run/Walk for Higher Education

Atlanta, GA--  Atlanta Fire Rescue Department Fire Stations 16 and 19 are hosting the annual 5k race to help give scholarships to graduating seniors of Washington and Grady High Schools.

Through hosting the Christmas party at Fire Station 16, and the FirEd Up! 5K Race at Fire Station 19 many children have benefited from what have become anticipated annual events for the department.

Alert for Va-Hi Pet Owners

Recently, a concerned resident discovered piles of Advil and Tylenol sprinkled with what appeared to be dog food.

Pet owners should stay close to their pets while on walks and pay attention to their surroundings.

If you spot a similar situation - you can alert Fulton County at 404-613-0358 - this is the number for their animal cruelty task force.   Fulton County said they would send an investigator to check out this incident.
